SDG Associates has provided programming, design, and full architectural services for Federal Inspection Services (FIS) as prime Architect and as consultant for airports, major airlines, and collaborating architects across the country, including:

  • Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)
    • Provided full architectural services at Midfield Terminal for 12 wide-body gates within 240,00 SF for processing of 3,600 passengers per hour (PAX/HR)
    • Programming for 2,100 PAX/HR at North Terminal
    • Increased processing capacity at Berry Terminal by 50%
    • Design for international connecting-passenger re-check facilities with a baggage make-up system
  • Bradley International Airport (BDL): Preliminary FIS studies for Concourse C
  • George Bush Intercontinental Houston Airport (IAH)
    • Developed the concept for a Central FIS, increasing the number of passengers per hour by 90% to 4,000
    • Provided programming, planning and design federal agency operational and administrative areas.
  • Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) – Programming, planning, equipment and millwork design for 200 PAX/HR at the New Terminal
