SDG provided consulting architect services, teaming with TMP Architects for the new addition to Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School in Detroit. The new addition – part of a $500M Detroit Public Schools bond program – replaced  most of the educational facility  and preserved the state-of-the art auditorium wing previously designed by SDG in 1980.

In March 2013, the project received LEED ® Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
